Anomia – Without Torah

Without the Law of God to guide us, we each go wherever looks best, missing the Narrow Road God has put in place for us to follow.

You are not to do as we do here today, everyone doing as they see fit,

There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.

Proverbs 14:12 NIV

Scripture tells us that left to our own devices, we’d do what we saw fit in our own eyes, and not follow God’s Law.  This is the very meaning of apostasy (falling away), and anomia (without Torah or Law).

It is also the link to the passage in 2 Thessalonians that Bible teachers and preaches have used to admonish the devoted to hold onto their faith.

Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 NIV

Yet don’t you see?  Christians are already going about their lives as they see fit,  never worried by the fact they’re way off course, never making יהוה (Yahweh) the Sovereign of their lives.  The apostasy is in full swing,  so then also the man of lawlessness is here,  alive on planet earth now.

Be ready, my brothers.  Pray continually that you may see with eyes cleared of worldly matters, and share the Gospel with everyone you encounter.  Jesus is near.
