Elul and 40 Days of Preparation

Elul is traditionally known as “the month of repentance,” and it is a time when people all over the world prepare for the High Holy Days. In the Jewish tradition, the month of Elul is a time of repentance in preparation for the High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. The word “Elul” is similar to the root of the verb “search” in Aramaic. The Talmud writes that the Hebrew word “Elul” can be understood to be an acronym for the phrase “Ani L’dodi V’dodi Li” – “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine” (Song of … Continue reading Elul and 40 Days of Preparation

The Deception

Every Christian is called to give a reason for his hope (1 Peter 3:5).  We will have to rise above in faith everything that is happening.  I’ve asked God to help me share what needs to be shared, but not to go beyond that point. What’s going on is the religions of the world are going to undergo a tremendous shaking. The lies that many people have believed and then sold out to is going to happen. The Great Deception goes like this: There is no God, Jesus is not real, and the aliens created us and are coming back … Continue reading The Deception

IT’S ABOUT TO GET REAL By Donna Wasson January 29, 2017 NewsWithViews.com Imagine with me, if you will, living an existence of unspeakable luxury and supernatural power for millions of years. You are an angel of incomparable beauty, talent, and intellect, made to lead your fellow angels in worship of YHWH, who created you. No other angelic being comes close to being your equal, and you enjoy your heavenly station and level of prestige. You inhale the adulation and admiration of lesser angelic beings like incense, and it occurs to you that they should be worshipping YOU in addition to … Continue reading Reprint: IT’S ABOUT TO GET REAL, Donna Wasson

Christian Compassion and Nationalism

From my distinguished friend, Jack Niewold, who reaches into my thoughts, organizes the lot, and produces them in a most admirable fashion. Here’s hoping his hands don’t get caught on any gnarls in the process… Those of us who oppose illegal immigration are often accused of lacking compassion. It’s as though if you think that laws ought to apply equally to all people you are a bad person.  The question of human compassion, or in this case Christian charity, and a regard for such issues of national sovereignty and the rule of law, are understood by liberals as being mutually … Continue reading Christian Compassion and Nationalism

Christian, Hear This

Miss Clara (Karen Abercrombie), from the movie War Room, prayed powerfully at the Revive Us live event last night. Christians from around the country were called together in theaters to learn what we can do to save America from the moral vapidity and downward decent of decades of sitting back from engaging in politics. The Family Meeting was full of godly wisdom for us here and now, among uncertain and difficult circumstances.  As the Family of God, we need to remember whom we fight, with what weapons, all the while keeping our eyes on the eternal.  For too long, people … Continue reading Christian, Hear This

How to Pray for America

This is directly from the National Day of Prayer website. “When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?” —Psalm 11:3 I believe our nation is in trouble today, probably more than I’ve seen in my lifetime. We are contending with issues that are causing the very foundation of our country to crumble. Our moral and spiritual roots are eroding, the economy is misleading, family life is disintegrating, and political forces are at unprecedented odds. There seem to be very few leaders who will take a stand for God and for His Word.It can be tempting to believe that America has … Continue reading How to Pray for America

Exclusivity Invites Rebellion

Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).  That’s straight forward and simple.  It is the exclusivity of Jesus’ claims and His actions, especially His rising from the dead, that the whole world is in rebellion against. To see it from God’s perspective, read Psalm the second Psalm. Why do the nations conspire  and the peoples plot in vain?  The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,  “Let us break their chains and … Continue reading Exclusivity Invites Rebellion

Repentance With Faith Leads To Salvation

GOD’S HOLY STANDARDS as revealed in holy scriptures are eternal, they are fixed and will not be altered to suit a person’s sinful lifestyle. God’s Word will not change so a person can live in sin. God is holy and when a person is convicted of his sins by the Holy Spirit, and when he repents and turns from his sins and places his faith in Jesus to save him, a radical change will take place in his life. That person becomes a brand new person, and is born of God and indwelt by the Holy Spirit of God. He … Continue reading Repentance With Faith Leads To Salvation
