Yahweh & the Elohim are Not God

Author Paul Wallis brings together several ancient stories in this video and seeks to divide the Elohim and Yahweh characters out from our understanding of God as Source of everything. As a Judaic Studies major and Bible student, I have often wondered how Yahweh (יהוה) could be described as a beast in various passages. The author clears up that confusion and offers a further explanation for our origins. An excellent and thought-provoking video. Please share thoughtful comments after you view this video. Serpent Seed and Man’s Fall

Previously published in 2017. In order to read the text of Genesis and be as true to the original meaning as closely as possible, it is necessary to go back to the original Hebrew. The Beguilement of Eve Beguilement is defined as “To influence by trickery…; mislead, delude. To take away from by cheating or deceiving. To charm or divert.” The Hebrew נָחָשׁ (nâchâsh – ‘ch’ is a hard guttural sound, like k) is derived from an unused word, but it makes a sound like the hissing of the snake, so the word (serpent) is the sound it makes. According … Continue reading Serpent Seed and Man’s Fall

Censorship of “Forbidden” Thinking Regarding Mankind’s Great Antiquity

The scientific establishment tends to reject, suppress or ignore evidence that conflicts with accepted theories, while denigrating or persecuting the messenger. Evidence is more than a compilation of facts. It requires continued scrutiny to the level of pointing to a different conclusion should the learned facts necessitate. Orthodox views of cultural evolution are based upon a chronology of civilization having started in Sumeria no earlier than 4000 BC. The theory does not permit an advanced civilization to have existed prior to that time. End of discussion. Archaeology and history lose their meaning without a fixed timeline as a point of … Continue reading Censorship of “Forbidden” Thinking Regarding Mankind’s Great Antiquity

Notpocalypse: An Examination of the Revelation 12 Sign

Note: Before we get into the text, let me apologize for not getting this out sooner. I have been nursing bruised ribs, and my concentration has prevented me from pulling it all together. So this will be a bit more of a bumpy ride than I’d hoped. That said, let’s look at the text that has created such an uproar. A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to … Continue reading Notpocalypse: An Examination of the Revelation 12 Sign

Elul and 40 Days of Preparation

Elul is traditionally known as “the month of repentance,” and it is a time when people all over the world prepare for the High Holy Days. In the Jewish tradition, the month of Elul is a time of repentance in preparation for the High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. The word “Elul” is similar to the root of the verb “search” in Aramaic. The Talmud writes that the Hebrew word “Elul” can be understood to be an acronym for the phrase “Ani L’dodi V’dodi Li” – “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine” (Song of … Continue reading Elul and 40 Days of Preparation

Anomia – Without Torah

Without the Law of God to guide us, we each go wherever looks best, missing the Narrow Road God has put in place for us to follow.  You are not to do as we do here today, everyone doing as they see fit, Deuteronomy 12:8 NIV http://bible.com/111/deu.12.8.NIV There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. Proverbs 14:12 NIV http://bible.com/111/pro.14.12.NIV Scripture tells us that left to our own devices, we’d do what we saw fit in our own eyes, and not follow God’s Law.  This is the very meaning of apostasy (falling … Continue reading Anomia – Without Torah

Significance of this new year, 5777

An excerpt from Dr. Lance Wallnau There are three “7s” in this Jewish new year. Interestingly, the number “7” in Hebrew is the letter “zayin” which represents both the number “7” and the word “sword.” What we are looking at in 5777 is, “The year of supernatural grace (5) to engage the clashing of swords (7).” The clashing of heaven and hell will show up in the conflict of ideologies. This collision of kingdoms has already started. “Zayin” means more than just “sword” or “weapon.” It also connects with a modern Hebrew word “mazon,” meaning “food” or “sustenance,” and “nourishment,” … Continue reading Significance of this new year, 5777

Proper tools, better translation

I continue to see English speakers using Strong’s as an end-all tool for Biblical investigation. If you know me,  I’m constantly urging the inquisitive to go back to the original language in order to discern the full meaning. Strong’s is not a word-for-word transliteration; but rather, a pronunciation key.  Below, Dr. Michael Heiser explains these issues in an article for WND. Using Strong’s Concordance and its dictionary, familiar tools for many readers, the speaker asserts that Jesus would have uttered the words of Luke 10:18 “in Hebrew” and then goes on to focus on the words for “lightning” and “heights”/”heavens.” … Continue reading Proper tools, better translation
